Sorellina has created a bright, vibrant and playful interpretation of the L'Imperatrice tarot card. The vertical, rectangular tablet of yellow mother-of-pearl is set in an 18K yellow gold frame and surrounded by a row of baguette pastel garnets and diamonds. Its surface is set with a 18K yellow gold, diamond, blue and green sapphire scene of an empress holding a scepter, a representation of her power over life. Her crown has twelve diamond stars on it, representing her dominance over the year. Her throne is in the midst of fields and forests, representing her dominion over growing things. The pendant hangs from the diamond set bale in the center of the 18K yellow gold chain. The Empress card is associated with maternal influence and can represent the creation of life, romance, art, or new business.
