Earthy and elemental, this Variance Objects necklace is a modern alternative to the classic gem pendant. The saturated nugget of lush green emerald is covered in a surface of light reflecting facets which echo the organic shape of the stone. It is surrounded by 14K and 18K yellow and rose gold prongs and hangs from the base of a 14K yellow gold chain. Alone or added to a layered collection, it exudes a confident, commanding sense of style.

Variance Objects Jewelry

SANTA CRUZ, CA - Nicole Rimedio creates jewelry that highlights the natural beauty of raw materials. Her jewelry shows the earth, fire, and hand that it came from. While she received her BA in Architecture and Urbanism from Smith College, and her master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley, making jewelry has always been her path. Nicole founded Variance in 2013 with her partner Scott. Scott manages operations and Nicole is the artist. They both have a passion for gemstones and together they source fine gem specimens and rough rock from gem collectors and small scale miners.
