Modern, earthy and sculptural, this Variance Objects ring is a stunning echo of the designer's creative vision and flow. The deep red ruby has angular, jagged edges and an asymmetrical shape. It is held by hand-wrought prongs of mixed 14K-18K rose, yellow and white gold and centered on a seamed skinny 14K yellow gold band to create a striking, unconventional and style-defining ring. Amazing, eclectic and artsy, it looks fantastic alone but even better with a stack!

Variance Objects Jewelry

SANTA CRUZ, CA - Nicole Rimedio creates jewelry that highlights the natural beauty of raw materials. Her jewelry shows the earth, fire, and hand that it came from. While she received her BA in Architecture and Urbanism from Smith College, and her master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley, making jewelry has always been her path. Nicole founded Variance in 2013 with her partner Scott. Scott manages operations and Nicole is the artist. They both have a passion for gemstones and together they source fine gem specimens and rough rock from gem collectors and small scale miners.
