ATHENS - Born in to a family of jewelers, Christina Soubli began her career by experimenting with materials and techniques at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design. Her years of exploration led her to the realization of one thing: she loves classical forms but needed to interpret them in a new way. Becoming known for her filigree work, she was inspired by the Greek goldsmiths who created jewelry by twisting together fine threads of precious metal. Christina, with her feminine creativity has managed to interpret filigree in an utterly contemporary manner, maintaining the exact traditional process and technique from ancient times.
