Borrowing the structure and simplicity from the shape of a buoy, these kAuge by Kothari earrings are a satiny sterling silver interpretation. The elongated sterling silver drops are set with a sterling silver disc and dangle beneath sterling silver ear wires. CALIFORNIA - The elemental symbol for gold is Au. It comes from the old Latin name for gold, aurum, which means ‘shining dawn’. The name kAuge comes from K=kothari, Au=gold, Ag=silver, E=elements.Ag is the chemical symbol for silver, which comes from argentum the Latin word for silver, which in turn derives from the Sanskit word argunas, which means shining. It is the most reflective element and has numerous uses from mirrors to microscopes. Kothari continues to create stunning jewelry in the ancient 5000 year old tradition of making silver for their new kAuge Collection.
