This one-of-a-kind Variance Objects diamond solitaire is the perfect balance of rugged sophistication and elemental elegance. The shimmering pear-shaped rose cut diamond is covered in a surface of light reflecting facets to reveal its natural shades of deep whiskey and burnt umber. It is set in a hand-wrought, molten bezel of mixed karat gold and centered on the rounded band of blackened sterling silver. This one-of-a-kind diamond solitaire is a bold and stunning departure from the traditional engagement ring and perfect for someone with a confident sense of style.

SANTA CRUZ, CA - Nicole Rimedio creates jewelry that highlights the natural beauty of raw materials. Her jewelry shows the earth, fire, and hand that it came from.  While she received her BA in Architecture and Urbanism from Smith College, and her master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley, making jewelry has always been her path. Nicole founded Variance in 2013 with her partner Scott.  Scott manages operations and Nicole is the artist. They both have a passion for gemstones and together they source fine gem specimens and rough rock from gem collectors and small scale miners.
