Like little cut-outs of sterling silver paper, these earrings are a modern departure from the traditional silver studs. Flat and subtly textured, they have a hand-carved edge. They measure about 1/2" in diameter and connect to post backs.
RHODE ISLAND - From her studio in Providence, Rhode Island, Priyadarshini Himatsingka creates her exquisite collection of modern, minimalist jewelry. Lightweight, ethereal and ultra-contemporary, each piece is hand-made and influenced by organic shapes and textures. Raised in a family of textile designers, Priyadashini became aware of artistic trends at an early age. After attending Parsons, NYU and the Rhode Island School of Design, she began working in sterling silver and high-karat gold. Her collection reflects her strikingly distinctive aesthetic.
